Tara has called the Lakes Region in New Hampshire her home since 2017, when she moved from Florida to support her husband’s career. Her free time is spent with her family, reading, or hiking during the winter months.

Mark R. Barton is a Concord NH Native and has been a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 2013. He began his career in funeral service in 2010 after a 25-year career in Law Enforcement. Mark graduated Magna Cum Laude and a recipient Dodge Award from the New England Institute for Mortuary Science at Mount Ida College in 2012 with an associate’s
degree in science.
Mark resides in Ashland, NH with his wife LouAnn and has a daughter; Abigail and a son; Adam. In his spare time, Mark enjoys traveling with his wife, and spending time with his family.

Taryn Fawkes is an Apprentice Funeral Director nearing licensure and proudly building her career in funeral service. She is currently pursuing her studies at Fine Mortuary College while gaining hands-on experience in the field. Originally from Framingham, Massachusetts, Taryn relocated to Gilford, New Hampshire at 16 and quickly grew to love the Lakes Region community. She is dedicated to serving families with compassion and professionalism, and she is passionate about creating meaningful services that honor and celebrate the lives of their loved ones with dignity and care.

Angelica joined the Mayhew team in 2024 as a part-time assistant which quickly led her to her current role of crematory operations manager. Whether it be a family member or a beloved pet, she plays a vital role in ensuring that every family receives
compassionate and professional care.
She holds a certification through the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) and brings valuable experience from her background in healthcare and emergency services. She is driven by her dedication to helping families and strengthening community connections through local events.
A native of Ashland, New Hampshire, Angelica enjoys spending time with her beloved Saint Bernard, Brutus, and other various pets. She expresses her creativity through arts and crafts and helps supports wildlife causes such as the Audubon Society and Bat Conservation International.
