Winifred Gertrude Gray, 93, of Stonedam Island Road, died June 29, 2010 in Meredith.Born in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, NY on April 6, 1917, she was the daughter of Joseph Anthony and Gertrude Winifred [Conklin] Gray.She grew up in the Long Island and Brooklyn, NY area. She graduated from Julia Richmond High School, in New York, City, class of 1934. She resided in the Brooklyn area for many years, before moving to Meredith in 1972. She worked for the New York Telephone Company, in Brooklyn, for thirty-eight years, retiring in 1972 as a supervisor and manager.She was a very active communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, Meredith. She served as a Eucharist Minister, Minister of the Word, past member of the Pastoral Council, and former Religious Education teacher. She was a member and past president of; NH Telephone Pioneers, the Emblem Club, and the Catholic Daughters of America.She was predeceased by her husband of sixty-two years, Stuart Gray, who died in March of 2000. She was also predeceased by her five siblings, most recently Mary T. Oswalt of Meredith, who died April of 2009.She is survived by her daughters, Jeanne Boriso and husband Thomas of Meredith, Winifred Mosnick and husband Walter of Lake Hopatcong, NJ, Virginia East and husband Kenneth of Eatontown, NJ, six grandchildren, Therese Mosnick, James Mosnick, Thomas E. Boriso, Edward Boriso, Stuart East, Bart East, five great grandchildren, Shea, Haley, Kelly, Kyle, Kenny, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation:Calling hours will be held in the Mayhew Funeral Home, Routes #3 and #104, Meredith, on Thursday 4pm to 7pm. Service:A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11am. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Route #25, Meredith. The Very Rev. Dennis J. Audet, V.F., pastor, will be the celebrant. Cemetery:Burial will be follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Meredith Center.
