William Stephen Pantos

William S. Pantos, Sr. 77, of Moultonborough, died February 4, 2017 at his home, after a period of declining health.
Born in East Boston, MA, on May 15, 1939, he was the son of Stephen and Mary (Coite) Pantos.
Bill grew up in East Boston and Lynn, MA. He attended Lynn school and graduated from the Shoe Industry Vocational School, in Lynn. He resided in Lynn for many years and has been a resident of Moultonborough for the past eighteen years.
Bill worked in the shoe industry for most all his life as a mechanic and a Service Technician for United Shoe Machinery, in Beverly, MA. and American Shoe on Woburn, MA.
Bill was an avid lover of cars and drag racing. He was a long-time member of the Night Hawks Car Club, in Lynn, MA.
Bill was predeceased by his son, Steven Jon, who died in 1985 and a sister, Frances Tetta, formerly of Malden, MA.
Bill is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years Elaine F. (McIntyre) Pantos, of Moultonborough, his children, William S. Pantos Jr. of Beverly, MA., Barbara Pantos of New Bedford, MA., Maureen Pantos and her wife Kerry of Plymouth, MA., his grandchildren, Steven, Kyle, Jake, Madi, and Jaxon, his sister, Marion Sullivan of Lynn, MA., and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held in the Mayhew Funeral Home, 204 Daniel Webster HWY., Meredith, on Thursday, Feb. 9th, from 11am to 1pm. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 1pm. The Rev. MSGR. Gerald R. Belanger, pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be held in the Shannon Cemetery, Route #109, Moultonborough, on Monday, May 15th at 12pm.
