William P. Avery

William Paul Avery, 79, of Ellsworth Hill Road, died September 2, 2010, at his home.      Born in Thornton on October 28, 1930, he was the son of Harold W. and Mildred [Pike] Avery.      He was a life long resident of the Campton area and attended school in the school house which became his home on Ellsworth Hill.      He worked for thirty years for the State of NH Department of Transportation as a road work supervisor.      He loved to hunt and fish.  He was a very hard worker and a very proud man, maybe a little stubborn, but he brought out the best in everyone.      He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Elizabeth [Kinney] Avery and son Michael W. Avery.       He is survived by his grandson and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. William Avery of Campton, grandson, Jeremy Avery of Vermont, sister, Mary Lou Blanchard of Plymouth, nieces and nephews.    Service:     A graveside service will be held in the Blair Cemetery, Campton, on Tuesday at 11am.  The Rev. Edward J. Charest, pastor of the Plymouth United Methodist Church, will officiate.
