Wayne H Barton

August 11, 1959 — February 12, 2021

Wayne (Hooda) Barton Jr. 61 of Campton Passed away suddenly at home with his love ones by his side in the morning of February 12, 2021.

Hooda was born in Newport New Hampshire August 11, 1959, the first-born son of Wayne and Carol (Sturtevant) Barton. He grew up as one of the Grantham animals along with his many friends and his brother Michael. He moved to Campton, New Hampshire where he presided for the last 33 years with his soulmate Linda.

Hooda worked for many years in Lincoln at Burndy's Corporation until he became disabled in 2014. Hooda was a member of the Elks club since 1987 where he spent many years enjoying times with friends, playing darts, horseshoes in the last few years corn hole. He has also been known to have maybe one or too many rums. His enjoyed time spent with his family and family of friends. In later life his greatest joy came from the time spend camping up at the Rogers campground in Lancaster NH with Stack of blue cans.

He is survived by his spouse/partner in crime of 33 years, Linda Gravelle-Barton and Brother Michael Barton, of Thornton, NH. He is also survived by one Niece and four nephews along with numerous nieces and nephews from the Gravelle side. Hooda is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews.

At this time there will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Wayne's Life will take place Sat. April 17th, 2021 at the Elks Lodge, 1159 NH Rte 175, Holderness, NH. In Lieu of flowers Hooda's favorite charities were the Shriners hospital for children, New England Disabled Sports and Special Olympics.
