November 10, 1947 — December 10, 2024

Timothy Wogan, born November 10, 1947, in Beverly, Massachusetts, passed away surrounded by love and care at the age of 77. Tim was the son of the late Richard T. Wogan and Helen Beaton Wogan.
Tim leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to his family. He is survived by his two daughters, Courtney (Van Etten) and her husband, Justin, along with their children, Guilla and Wogan; and Hilary (Ness) and her husband, Bryan, with their children, Mylie and Joshua. He is also survived by his sister, Suzanne (Lattanzi), and her husband, Lew, and their daughters, Kara and Nicole, as well as his nieces, Sophia, Ava, and Mia. His brother, Denis Wogan, also survives him. Tim’s ex-wife and dear friend, Jiggs (Anstis Wogan), lovingly cared for him through his final days.
A proud graduate of Gloucester High School’s Class of 1965, Tim continued his education at Arizona Western College and the University of Massachusetts, earning his degree in 1971. His professional life was diverse and filled with dedication. He worked with Wogan Lawn Service, building golf courses, and spent time as a lobsterman aboard the Boo Jigg. Later, he enjoyed a successful career as a salesman for Mettler Toledo.
Tim was an athlete at heart, playing football in high school and at Arizona Western. He was an avid traveler, ocean enthusiast, and lover of life. He cherished his time “spinning the beach” and was a legendary body surfer at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester, Massachusetts. His vibrant spirit and love for the sea were unmatched.
Tim’s friendships were a cornerstone of his life, bringing him endless joy and unforgettable adventures. He shared countless wonderful times with his close friends Paul Riley, Bob Rooney, Dave Tomeo, Rich Brittingham, Mike Scarpone and Rob Orlando
Tim will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and deep connection to family and friends. He lived life fully and inspired those around him to do the same.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date, where family and friends can gather to honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in his memory.
Rest peacefully, Tim, by the ocean you loved so dearly.
