MELVIN VILLAGE --- Teresa Lynn Comparetto, known by many of her family and friends as “Terri,” was born in 1956 and raised in southern California, the oldest of the three “Lynn girls.” She met her husband Keith while attending a Christian college in South Carolina. They were married on June 4th, 1983, and remained life partners for 42 years until her death. During that time, she spent a number years as a school teacher who was determined to make learning fun for her students.
At the age of 44, she experienced a dramatic conversion to Christ, which completely changed her life spiritually. As a result, she retired from her institutional teaching career in order to be a Mom and homeschool her children. As her children came of age, she wanted them to see the beauty of the West where she had grown up, and so began a series of driving and van-camping tours through the great national parks of America. Finding and enjoying beautiful scenery, whether out West or on the back roads of New England, was one of her favorite pastimes. She also loved to decorate, and loved the artistic challenge of making her house into a beautiful and welcoming home. But most of all, she loved and was dedicated to her husband and children.
After a brief but brave battle with cancer, Teresa passed peacefully from this life on June 29th, 2025, surrounded by her husband, her two sisters, her three children, and loving friends. She is survived by her husband Keith and her three children: Robert Comparetto (Ariane), Kara Comparetto, and Amy Williams (Travis), who live in the New Hampshire area; her sister Sharon Kelley (Jonathan), of Richardson, TX; her sister Alice Maxwell (Mark), of Chandler, AZ; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Mayhew Funeral Home, 204 Daniel Webster Highway, Meredith, NH.
Burial will follow the service at the Mason Cemetery on Mt. Israel Road in Sandwich, NH., followed by a gathering in the Comparetto home.
