RUMNEY---Stella Jayne Donovan, (80), of Rumney, New Hampshire passed away at home on April21, 2016.
Stella was born on June 18, 1935 in Fall River, Massachusetts the daughter of James and Jennie (Gilroy) Hoar. She grew up in Bristol, Rhode Island, attending area schools in Bristol and after high school she went to work at J.J. Newberry's, later working as a waitress at the Wharf Tavern in Warren, R.I. and the Lobster Pot in Bristol, R.I., she worked at the Italian Farmhouse in Plymouth, N.H. for 10 years before retiring in 2010.
Stella married the love of her life Robert on February 18, 1966 in Seekonk, Massachusetts. After they were married they lived in Warren, R.I. before moving to Rumney, N.H. in January, 1995.

Stella loved to cook, she enjoyed writing calligraphy and coloring, becoming a skilled and talented artist. She loved her garden and especially tending to her cats and dogs. Stella was also involved in local politics and loved getting involved in a spirited debate with anyone who did not agree with her.
Stella is survived by her husband; Robert of 50 years, two daughters; Susan O'Hara of Bristol, R.I., and Darcy DaCosta of Warren, R.I., her son in law; Chris DeCosta, two granddaughters; Jessica Blinkhorn of Bristol, R.I. and Elizabeth DaCosta of Warren, R.I. a grandson; Robert DaCosta of Warren, R.I. great grandson; Jack Blinkhorn and great granddaughter; Juliet Blinkhorn both of Bristol, R.I.
Stella was predeceased by her parents and her uncle Peter.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Bristol, R.I.
