Shirley Agnes Kimball

FRANKLIN--- Shirley Kimball, (80) formerly of Meredith, passed away on Sunday January 1, 2017 at Mountain Ridge Nursing home in Franklin, New Hampshire.

Shirley was born on January 5, 1936 in Laconia, New Hampshire the daughter of Harry and Agnes (Eryou) Horne.

Shirley grew up in Meredith, attending Meredith Schools. After graduating from school, she married Randolph raising her 7 children. Shirley was known as the neighborhood "mom" not only raising her own children, but nurturing other neighborhood children. While busy working as a neighborhood mom, she worked briefly at Amatex in Meredith.

Shirley is survived by her son; Wayne Kimball of Bristol, New Hampshire, Charles "Rusty" Kimball and his wife Sheila of Louisville, Kentucky, Pamela Wyatt and her husband Lawrence of Concord, New Hampshire, Sherry Reed and her husband William of Laconia, New Hampshire, Brenda Marceau and her husband Mark of Meredith, New Hampshire, her brothers; Kenneth Horne of Tennessee, Alvin Horne and his wife Ruby of Tennessee, Albert and his wife Louise of Tilton, New Hampshire, her eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Shirley is predeceased by husband, Randolph, her two sons; Gary and Jerry, her parents and her brother Herbie.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7th, 2017 from 10am. to 12pm. at the Mayhew Funeral Home, 204 D.W. Highway Meredith, NH 03253. A Spring graveside service will be held in the Oakland Cemetery Meredith Center Road Meredith, on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 10am.
