Sarah M. Fleming (Rowlands), (97), of 52 Circle Drive, passed away at Franklin Regional Hospital on Sunday August 3, 2014
Sarah was born April 3, 1917 in Marystown, Newfoundland, Canada the daughter of James and Alice (Parsons) Rowlands. She moved to Center Harbor from Marystown, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, Canada in 1947 with her husband James Francis Fleming and their two children at the time; John Russell and Dennis. They later moved to Meredith, where Sarah worked at Golden View Nursing Home as a nursing assistant for more than 20 years.
Survivors include her children; John Russell Fleming, Dennis Fleming, Joseph Fleming, Debra Fleming, and Regina Dunleavy. Sarah was predeceased by her husband in 2005 and her son Kevin in 2002 and a grandson Kevin, Jr. in 2012. Sarah is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren as well as many, many nieces and nephews. Sarah came from a very large and loving family.
Sarah used to spend some time crocheting, but her true love and passion was her family, spending time with grandchildren and talking to other people.
