HOLDERNESS - Ruth Ann Royea, 92, of Holderness, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at her daughter's home, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on January 7, 1934, Ruth was the daughter of the late Marvin and Anna (Drake) Blake.

Ruth found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed reading, knitting, and crocheting, and cherished the time spent with her family. 

Ruth is survived by her four children, Donna Thompson and her husband Bruce, of Alexandria, NH, Michael Royea of Holderness, NH, Kathy Ainsworth and her significant other, Normand Poliquin, of Laconia, NH and Peter Royea and his wife, Kim, of New Hampton, NH; her sisters-in-law, Joan Royea of Center Harbor, NH, her brother-in-law, Bruce Royea of Holderness, NH; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, Ibra Royea; two children, Richard Royea and Cindy Royea; and two brothers, Orris Blake and Frank Blake.

Ruth's family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Lakes Region VNA of Meredith, NH, for their dedication to keeping their mother comfortable.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Wolfsburg Farm, East Holderness Road, Holderness NH.

A Graveside Service for Ruth and her family will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 19, 2026, at Trinity Cemetery, Holderness, NH.
