SANDWICH- Ruth Scott Conley passed away peacefully at home with family on November 28th at 8:30pm, in her 90th year.
 
 
 Ruth was born on October 19th, 1924 in Newton Highlands, MA, one of eleven children of George and Mae (Scott) Lawrence.
 
 
 After graduating from Newton High School, she worked as a dental hygienist in the Boston area.
 
 
 On June 30th, 1956 she married Raymond K. Conley Jr and they began their life together at Partridge Rock Farm in Sandwich, NH.
 
 
 During their 40 year marriage, they established Camp Red Hill summer camp for boys, worked tirelessly for Easter Seals, advocated for Americans with disabilities, and ran a successful farm. During Ray's terms in the NH Legislature and Senate, Ruth worked in the NH State House.
 
 
 Following his death in 1995, Ruth volunteered in the primary grades at Sandwich Central School, where she read with the children and was affectionately known as "Grammie Ruth." From 2006 to 2009 she and her granddaughter Juli enjoyed hosting guests together at their Partridge Rock Farm Bed and Breakfast in Sandwich.
 
 
 Ruth is survived by her stepdaughters, granddaughter, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
 
 
 Her family is very grateful for the compassionate care she received from Live Free Home Healthcare in her last two years, and from Central NH VNA & Hospice in her final weeks.
