Russell Parris

MOORE, OK --- Russell James Parris (Russ), devoted son, brother, husband, father, and "Gramps", as well as a proud veteran, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2025, at his home in Moore, OK. Born on May 30, 1960, in Plymouth, NH, he was preceded in death by his father James Parris. He is survived by his mother, Joan Parris, sisters Debbie Thompson and Donna Parris. wife Debbie, sons Joshua and Jeremiah, daughter-in-law Mallory Parris, and grandson Jackson. As well as many nephews, nieces, and friends. After graduating from Masacoma Valley Regional School, Russ joined the U.S. Air Force where he proudly served as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Craftsman. His service saw him deployed many times around the world, earning him numerous medals and professional commendations. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1998 after 20 years. He then spent another 22 years in the civil service before retiring in 2020 after 22 years. He was a devoted citizen, patriot, and proud veteran. Russell married his sweetheart, Debbie, on September 18, 1982. They enjoyed 43 years together; raising 2 sons he was very proud of. He adored his grandson, Jackson, calling him his "Little Buddy". A talented woodworker, Gramps frequently had Jackson as a helper in his wood shop, making sure he always left with a piece of scrap wood as payment for his help. Russell was a classic car enthusiast, owning many throughout his life. An avid Nascar fan, Russ proudly displayed his Dale Earnhardt memorabilia. In his retirement years he could frequently be seen tending to his smoker, making delicious bbq for his family, while wearing his favorite Patriots gear. Before his death, Russ reaffirmed his faith in Christ. A graveside service will be held for Russell Parris on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 10:30am at Highland Cemetery on Quincy Rd. in Rumney, NH. Mr. Parris will also receive military honors for his dedicated service in the US Air Force.
