Rubie Becker was born on October 14, 1922 in Ashland, New Hampshire to parents, Ethel and Dana Verrill.
Rubie was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, an aunt, a cousin and friend. Rubie was kind and hospitable beyond measure. She had an easy laugh, a warmth, and a generous spirit that she shared with all those who knew her. Rubie's love of music defined her life.
She was an accomplished pianist and songwriter. She passed the gift of music on to all of her seven children and to the subsequent generations. Rubie lived her 97 years to the fullest. Her Christian faith was strong. No matter what the circumstances, good or bad, Rubie was sure that with God's Grace anything was possible. She lived by this guiding principal and passed this wisdom on at any opportunity. The world was a better place with Rubie in it. She was well loved and will be missed dearly.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13,2019 from 1-2:00 pm with a Chapel Service to begin at 2pm at the Mayhew Funeral Home, 7 Cataldo Road, Meredith, New Hampshire. A private graveside burial service will be held in the spring.
