Rose Mary Myers, age 84, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, January 10, 2017, in Meredith, NH.
She was born in Eureka, MO, Sept. 20, 1932, to her parents, Clayton and Thelma (Davis) Howard. She married David M. Myers on July 26, 1952, in St. Louis, MO, and then relocated to Hampton, VA, when David began work at the Newport News Shipyard. Later they made their home in Grafton, VA, where she enjoyed reading and knitting and taking care of her many animals. She was married to David for nearly 60 years before he preceded her in death in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her two older sisters, Margaret and Dorothy.
Rose was a faithful wife, loving mother, and active member of Denbigh Baptist Church, Newport News, VA, and Maranatha Baptist Church, Yorktown, VA. Since relocating to Meredith, NH, in 2014, she was a faithful attender of Grace Baptist Church of Plymouth, NH.
She is survived by four children: Clifford Myers of North Chesterfield, VA; Wayne Myers of Troy, OH; Patricia Anglea of Rumney, NH; and Janet Snow of Casey, IL; and 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will honor and remember Rose's life by gathering for a calling hour on Friday, January 13th from 2:00 to 3:00 PM in the Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon Street, Plymouth, NH.
A memorial service will follow in the funeral home at 3:00 PM.
Internment will be at the Parklawn Memorial Cemetery, Hampton, VA. A short memorial service will be held at the Parkwood Lawn Park Mausoleum at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 17th.
