Roger Allen Kelley, 88, of Center Harbor, passed away October 23, 2010, at Lakes Region General Hospital, of Laconia.Born in Laconia, on October 21, 1922, he was the son of Percy and Ethel (Ray) Kelley.Roger was a graduate of Quimby School, in Sandwich. Always interested in the activities of the town, he was charter member of Centre Harbor Historical Society, the NH Orchid Society, and the Lakes Region Camera Club, and served many years on the Center Harbor Zoning board of Adjustment. Roger enjoyed the Center Harbor Band concerts, insisting that "Tiger Rag" be played as he waved his Tiger Rag flag. Roger worked in the construction industry, most recently with the L.A. Avery Co., of Moultonborough.Roger enjoyed his vegetable garden and many flowers, especially orchids and fuchsias. He is predeceased by his brother Reginald Kelley, of Center Harbor, on March 22, 2010.Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Nancy (Manson) Kelley; a sister-in-law, Jacqueline Kelley; a niece, Melissa Fazzina; many cousins, a great niece, and nephews.Memorials:Donations may be made in roger's memory to the Community Care Givers, Inc., PO Box 78, Ctr.
