Robin Charles Burrows

Robin “Buster” Charles Burrows, age 72, of Center Sandwich, NH, passed away in his sleep on October 30, 2023.

Born on February 7, 1951, he was the son of Charles G. Burrows and Anna L. Geers. He was raised in Center Sandwich and was a 1969 graduate of Inter-Lakes High School. He was drafted into the US Army during the Vietnam War and served as an MP at Fort Shafter in Hawaii from 1971-1973. He attended UNH and Plymouth State College. He was a hard worker and held various jobs at local businesses in the Lakes Region area. Buster enjoyed a good conversation about politics or sports and was an excellent storyteller. He was a lifelong fan of the Boston Bruins and Boston Red Sox. His favorite football team was the old Baltimore Colts. In his younger years, he played basketball, baseball, golf, and during the 1970’s and 1980’s softball in the local men’s leagues. Buster will be remembered as a voracious reader, an afficionado of music and a competitive Trivial Pursuit player at family holiday gatherings.

He was predeceased by his parents and a treasured uncle, Robert N. Burrows. He is survived by his brothers Geoffrey Burrows and Jere Burrows (Sue), his nieces Jessica Heald (Darrin) and Alicia Burrows (Allie) and his nephew Nat Burrows (Ellie), many great nieces and nephews and numerous relatives and friends from over the years.

A service will be held in the spring at the family burial plot in Rural Cemetery in Center Sandwich.
