Robert B. Watson, (Bob), 70, of Campton, NH, passed away on October 28, 2019. Bob was born on December 18,1948 in Hanover, NH to Dr. Richard and Eleanor Watson (Blanchard).
Bob attended schools in Hanover and Bridgeton Academy in Maine. After attending college in Massachusetts for a year, he joined the U.S. Navy. He then served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. Retired in 2010 and having worked at The Golden Eagle Lodge in Waterville Valley and at Freudenberg-NOK for over 20 years.
Bob was a twenty-year resident of Campton. He loved spending time with his family and his cats, Bailey and Benny. He was predeceased by his cat Riley. He loved his trips to Maine with his wife Barbara, who he affectionately addressed her as "Baby". Bob was gifted with a warm, friendly personality with the "Gift of Gab".
In addition to his wife and companion of 23 years, Barbara (Lawson), Bob is survived by his son Michael Watson, stepchildren Jamie Shortt-Heald, Kevin Shortt and his wife Ashley. Bob had 4 grandchildren, Cori Shortt, his partner Hanne Nichols, Danielle and Dylan Shortt and Alden Heald. He is also survived by his brother Thomas Watson and his wife Lorna, mother in law Thelma Lawson and his sister and brother in law Carol and Gary Meyers. Also, Bob leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his parents, grandparents and his father in law Bennett Lawson.
Bob's family would like to express their deep gratitude to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Pemi Baker Home Health Agency.
Their will be no calling hours and a funeral service for Bob will be at a later date. Donations in Bob's name may be made to the NH Humane Society.
