Robert Nicholas Jacobs

May 2, 1960 — February 18, 2015

Robert "Nick" Jacobs, 54, of Rumney NH, passed unexpectedly in his home on February 18, 2015 at 4:15 p.m. Nick was born in San Jose California, the oldest son of Robert and Elizabeth Jacobs. He was one of seven siblings. He is survived by his loving wife, Faith, step daughters; Pamela and Kerry, older sister Sue, and 5 younger brothers and sisters; Sandy, Tim, Doug, Dolly, Mike, grandchildren; Chelsey and Richie, and 11 nieces and nephews, and 4 great nieces and nephews.

He and his wife, Faith, married for 30 years, relocated to N.H. in 1992 to be closer to family and actively participate in the lives of their grandchildren. He enjoyed playing Little League baseball through high school and adult softball for many local community teams throughout his life. Nick collected sports memorabilia, and could challenge the best with little known facts. This background made Nick perfect for coaching, umping, and referee positions; which he volunteered for often. He was well known for showing up for practice in "bare feet", a trait that stemmed from being a Californian.

As the "copier repair guru", he could repair nearly every make and model, no matter how old or new. He worked for MacDurgin's in Laconia NH for 20 years, and then Seacoast Business Machines, after a merge, becoming well known throughout New Hampshire for his friendly, upbeat, and positive attitude.
Nick never worried about anything, he greeted each and every day with a smile and enthusiasm for life that was contagious. He was always the first to lend a helping hand and had the belief that once someone entered his life, they were his to take care of.

He touched the lives of many and will be missed by all.
