Robert G. Currier, Jr.

Robert G. Currier, Jr., 71, of Meredith, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 4, 2010, surrounded by his family.Robert was born February 1, 1939, in Winchester, MA. He was the son of Robert and Ruth (Folsom) Currier. For many years he resided in Reading, MA, and summered all his life in Meredith.Robert was a Foreman for Northeast/Delta Airlines, upon his retirement he moved to Meredith. He was an avid fisherman, golfer and snowmobiler.Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Shirley (Finethy) Currier, of Meredith, and two sons, Richard A. Currier, of Reading, MA, and James S. Currier and his wife Deborah (Hamblett) Currier, of Tewksbury, MA.Memorials:In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert's name to the American Cancer Society, or the Community Health and Hospice, 780 North Main St., Laconia, NH 03246.Service:A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010, at 11:00 am, at the First Congregational Church, 25 Woburn St., Reading, MA.Cemetery:Interment will follow the service at the Forest Glen Cemetery, in Reading.
