Robert C. Beeman, 77, of Plymouth, NH passed away peacefully at home September 28, 2023, after a period of declining health. Bob was born in Reading, MA August 6, 1946, to the late Douglass and Mary (Curran) Beeman.
Following 16 years of physical therapy for polio, Bob won a basketball scholarship to Merrimack College in Andover, MA, graduating in 1969 and remaining a lifelong Boston sports fan.
He owned and operated Liberty Builders for many years, during which time he built and renovated many homes throughout the Lakes Region. He also participated in the construction of several Pemi-Valley Habitat for Humanity homes. When his sons were young, he was active with the Cub Scouts, and coached Little League baseball as well as Parks and Recreation basketball. Later in life, Bob taught history for 11 years at Waterville Academy.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Heather (Hutchison) Beeman and his twin sons Jeffrey Beeman of Penacook, NH and Michael Beeman of Cambridge, MA. He is also survived by a brother, Douglass Beeman, of Bradenton, FL and a sister, Martha Beeman, of Chapel Hill, NC. In addition, he leaves behind a nephew, nieces, and two brothers-in-law and their families.
