Robert "Bob" Marshall Bailey, 90, of Moultonborough and Avon Park, FL, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his bedside on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Boston, MA on April 13, 1925, he was the son of Charles F. and Eva (Parry) Bailey. Bob was raised in Dorchester, MA and attended Boston Public Schools. After graduating high school, he enlisted with the U.S. Army serving in the Army during WWII, in the European Theatre, with the 20th Armored Division.

Upon returning home from his military service, he furthered his education at the Bryant & Stratton Business School, in Boston. Bob worked as a Sales Engineer with the Weil McClain Boiler Manufacturing Corporation, retiring after twenty-two years with the company.

He and his wife Phyllis raised their family in Wrentham, MA, where he was very actively involved, having chaired many school and community committees throughout the years. Bob also served as a National Ski Patrolman, was an avid golfer and inventor. He and Phyllis eventually retired to Moultonborough and they wintered in Avon Park, FL for many years.

Bob will be lovingly remembered by his family as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather (as he was affectionately known as "GG" to the great-grandkids). Bob was an Eagle Scout and a true patriot who loved his country and proudly displayed the flag wherever he lived.
