Rita Jeanne Driscoll, 84, of Meredith, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Golden View Health Care Center, in Meredith, after a brief illness.
Born in Lynn, MA on March 29, 1928, she was the daughter of Charles and Constance (Gagnon) Canessa. Jeanne was raised in Lynn and attended local schools.
In her life Jeanne worked for the Flagship Corporation on the M/V Mount Washington as a food service manager (her husband Edward was a Captain on the Mount Washington as well). For most of her years she was a dedicated homemaker. Jeanne was a communicant at the St. Charles-Borromeo Catholic Church, in Meredith and also was a member of the St. Charles Women's Club.
Jeanne is predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Canessa, and son-in-law, Michael Daley.
She is survived by her beloved husband of almost 63 years, Edward A. Driscoll, of Meredith, a son, Stephen R. Driscoll, of Beverly, MA, and a daughter, Andrea Daley, of Milan, NH.
