Rita Gail Bacon

January 18, 1950 — July 16, 2018

On Monday, July 16, 2018, Rita Gail Bacon, wife, mother, and sister, passed away after a long
battle with metastatic breast cancer, at the age of 68 years, with her immediate family by her side. Gail will be forever remembered by her husband and best friend Paul, and their precious children, Lori (Bacon) Fitzgerald and Kevin Bacon. She will also be fondly remembered by her
son-in-law, Brian Fitzgerald, daughter-in-law, Elle (Russel Bacon), her four grandchildren, Allison Fitzgerald, Cameron Bacon, Evan Fitzgerald and Cassidy Fitzgerald, and her sister,
Diane Bigby, from Shreveport, LA. She will also be forever remembered by her nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. Gail was predeceased by her parents, Doyle and Vern Crow and her brother, Michael Crow. A native of Shreveport, LA, Gail moved up to New England when she and Paul first married in 1969. They settled in Haverhill, MA from 1978 - 2012 and they retired to Meredith, NH in the fall of 2012.
Gail loved socializing with friends and family, entertaining others and traveling with her husband. Some of her most memorable trips were to Hawaii, Aruba, the Caribbean Islands, and a recent trip out west to some of the National Parks, including the Grand Canyon. She was a
talented self-taught artist who enjoyed painting nature, specifically birds and still life. Gail loved spending time in her yard, watching the numerous birds in their beautiful gardens while watching
