Richard "Dick" Thomas Burne, 82, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Catholic Medical Center, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on May 8, 1932, in Chelmsford, MA, the son of Edwin and Molly (Lofstedt) Burne. Dick was raised in Chelmsford attending local schools. He furthered his education at Bentley College, in Boston, where he earned an Associate's Degree in Accounting.

Dick was an active member of the American Legion and also served as the Treasurer of the Wentworth Historical Society for many years.

Dick was a loving family man. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, his number one priority was taking care of his family and setting a good example for his children and grandchildren. He was always supporting his grandkids by regularly attending their school sports games. Dick will be dearly missed by his family and those who knew him throughout the greater Wentworth community.

He is predeceased by his parents, a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Rita Burne, and his first wife, Ann (Broderick) Burne, in 1981.
