Richard Dean Blodgett

Richard (Ricky) Dean Blodgett of Wentworth NH, age 61, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on January 1, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer.
Ricky was born in Wentworth NH. He attended school in Wentworth and Plymouth. Early in his career Ricky worked with his brother Scott and father Robert for the Wentworth Highway department. He later became the town Road Agent and held this position for several years.
Ricky logged and did carpentry with many of the locals over the years and enjoyed being in the woods. What he loved most was doing dirt work for Richard Remacle Construction out of Canaan NH, which he did for the last 20 years of his career. Ricky had a passion for teaching others the tricks of his trades and encouraged many people along the way.
Ricky was a simple man who touched many people's lives. He was truly one of a kind. He had many talents and was always willing to lend a hand to help friends and family. He was clever and had a great sense of humor.
Above all else, Ricky loved his children and grandchildren. They were the world to him, and he cherished the time he shared with them working on cars, camping, and having family cookouts. One of the last things Ricky said was, "I had a good life."
Ricky is survived by his lifelong partner of 36 years, Tracey Blodgett of Wentworth, daughter Traci Ste Marie and grandsons Carson, Mason and Jayden of North Haverhill NH, son Matt and fiancé Kelly Moody and granddaughter Maddison of Wentworth NH, daughter Hope and husband Nick Brown and granddaughter Isabella of Warren NH, Mother Theresa King of North Haverhill NH, sister Deeann and husband Steve Hamel of Orford NH, sister Debbie and husband Ray Ross of Bedford NH. sister Patti and husband Steve Welch of Wentworth NH, and brother Scott and life partner Linda Nutter of Orford NH. Ricky also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father, Robert Blodgett, and sisters Melissa Dudley of Arizona and Penni Davis of Wentworth.
Due to the time of his death a springtime graveside service will be held on Friday May 6, 2022, at 10:00 am at Foster's Cemetery in Wentworth, followed by a celebration of life on the Blodgett estate property in Wentworth where Ricky spent every summer.
