Richard Jeffrey Ayers, 55, of Livermore Road, died suddenly on February 8, 2016, at Speare Memorial Hospital, in Plymouth, after injuries received from a fall.
 
 
 Born in Hartford, Connecticut on August 20, 1960, he was the son of the late Paul L. Jr. and Ann (Merrigan) Ayers.
 
 
 Richard grew up in Duxbury, Massachusetts and graduated from Duxbury High School, class of 1978. He has been a resident of the Campton area for over thirty-five years.
 
 
 Richard worked for many years at Trapper Brown, Inc., in Holderness, and also for about ten years with Ross Construction. He has been the owner and operator of Ayers Construction, for over twelve years.
 
 
 Richard enjoyed the saltwater and deep sea fishing, playing hockey, and hanging out with his Golden Retrievers. He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren, Isla and Bowen.
 
 
 Richard is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Carrie A. (Mosher) Ayers of Campton, his daughter, Elizabeth R. Ayers and her husband Michael King, of N. Hampton, NH., his grandchildren, Isla and Bowen King, his mother, Ann (Merrigan) Ayers of Naples, FL, brothers, Paul L. Ayers III, of Leesburg, VA, Peter W. Ayers of Oceanside, CA., William D. Ayers of E. Kingston, NH., sisters, Jennifer L. Ayers of Naples, FL., Cathy A. Keohane of Milton, MA., several nieces and nephews.
