Rene Norman Lagasse, 71 of Pollard Road, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2010, at his home. A life-long resident of Lincoln, Mr. Lagasse was born in Laconia, NH on January 11th 1938, the son of Lena May Guay and Israel Lagasse. He grew up in Belmont, NH and moved to Lincoln with his family in 1952, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1955. He joined the Navy in 1955, serving his country honorably for three years. He returned to Lincoln and for several years was a machinist in the Lincoln Paper Mill, before working much of his life on State highway construction projects, including I-93 through Franconia Notch. He leaves behind his brothers Raymond Lagasse of Lebanon and Roger Lagasse of Bow, as well as their wives, his six nieces and nephews, Stephen, Linda, Lisa, Mary Ellen, Roger, and Julie and his four grandnieces, Rachel, Sarah, Jillian, and Michaela. Service:A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lincoln. The Rev. John B. MacKenzie, pastor, will be the celebrant. Cemetery:Spring burial will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Lincoln.
