René Noel Latulippe, Jr., 83, of Ashland, passed away on July 22, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends after a lenghty illness.Born on December 25, 1925, in Beauceville, Quebec, he was the son of the late René O. and Adrienne (Veilleux) Latulippe, Sr.In 1944 René joined the U.S. Navy in which he proudly served his country. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal for his valor and courage.René enjoyed fishing and lobstering, and spending time in his summer camp on Squam Lake with family and friends.He is predeceased by his beloved wife Dorothy (Huckins), formerly of Ashland, in April 2001, and also a sister, Jeanne Day, formerly of PA.René is survived by three sons, Steve Latulippe and wife Anita Sue, of Bridgewater, NH, Michael Latulippe and Sue Wood, of Ashland, NH, and Don Latulippe and Busaba Karntakosol, also of Ashland; a daughter, Gail Lary, of Twin Mountain, NH; a brother, Edward Latulippe, of Rumney, NH; five sisters, Freida Scholl, of CA, Helen MacDonald, of Gardner, MA, Anita Shortsleeves, also of Gardner, Theresa Chabot, of Ashland, NH, and Marguerite Burns, of Groton, NH;  six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.Memorials:In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the NH Humane Society, 1305 Meredith Center Road, Laconia, NH 03246, or to Pemi Baker Home Health and Hospice, 101 Boulder Point Drive, Suite #3, Plymouth, NH 03264.Visitation:Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon Street, Plymouth, from 6 thru 8 pm. Service:A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at the Ashland Episcopal Church, Ashland, at 11:00 am. The Rev. F.G. Sherrill will officiate. Cemetery:Interment will follow the service at the Green Grove Cemetery in Ashland.
