Reginald P. Kelley, 82, of Bean Road, Center Harbor, passed away at his home peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 22, 2010.He was born on July 7, 1927 in Center Harbor, the son of Percy and Ethel (Ray) Kelley. Reginald was raised in Center Harbor, and graduated from the Quimby School in Sandwich, Class of 1945. During his childhood he worked for, and eventually operated the Center Harbor Riding Stable until the age of 15.Shortly before graduating High School, Reginald joined the Navy and proudly served his country for a year.After returning home from the Navy, Reginald went back to operate the Center Harbor Riding Stable until he was married in 1948. Ten years later he attended the California State Polytechnic Institute and completed a program in Horse Shoeing. Reginald shoed work horses and saddle horses until he started working for race tracks in 1961; he worked for several race tracks around New England.He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Jacqueline (Bryant) Kelley, of C. Harbor; a daughter, Melissa Fazzina, of C. Harbor; a brother, Roger Kelley and wife Nancy, of C. Harbor; three grandchildren, Brianna Belfontaine and husband Justin, of Laconia, Jesse Fazzina, of Belmont, and Elijah Fazzina, also of C.
