Rebecca Bryant Tilton, 66- Moultonborough, NH.
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of Rebecca ('Becky') Tilton, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Surrounded by those closest to her, Becky passed away on May 21st after a short but fierce battle with ovarian cancer.
Becky was born on July 18, 1954 to Stewart & Helen (Nelson) Bryant of Moultonborough. Along with her older brother (Dan) and her cousins, she spent her days exploring and playing on the family farm where they raised sheep, chickens and the occasional 'pet' raccoon and bunnies. She adored this home and the family surrounding it so much that she only moved a few hundred feet away and raised her own family on the same land. Connection to her family and her family's history was one of the most important things to her.
Becky married her soulmate, Tom Tilton, in 1974 and they spent the next 46-years loving and nurturing both their children and Tom's business, Ossipee Mountain Electronics. Becky was a homemaker at heart and adored raising and doting on her children and then her grandchildren too. Professionally, she was the primary bookkeeper for the family business for all of the 46-years it has existed.
In her spare time, Becky enjoyed spending time and sharing meals with her family and friends, 'touring' the family property (especially the lookout) on the RTV's, decorating her home and gardens, visiting the ocean, and listening to country music. Becky loved her Pennsylvania family and enjoyed traveling to Hershey every year to visit them. She always carved out time to do special things with her grandchildren (her favorite time spent) and loved her extended family's children as if they were her own. Celebrating birthdays and holidays was so important to her. Becky was kind, generous and always wanted to help or give in whatever way she could.
Becky leaves behind her husband Tom; daughter Stephanie Porusta, her husband Brian and their children Emily, Max and Simon; and her son Aaron, his wife Meagan and their children Carter and Ethan - all of Moultonborough. Becky was pre-deceased by her parents Stewart and Helen Bryant and her brother Dan Bryant.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday July 18th from 1pm to 4pm at the Porusta's Home, 436 Ossipee Mountain Road, Moultonborough, NH.
