Priscilla D. (Guinan) Brox, 81, Fromerly of Laconia, passed away at Franklin Regional Hospital, on November 18, 2009, after a long period of declining health.Mrs. Brox was born in Plymouth, NH, on June 14, 1928, to Harriet "Annie" (Griffin) and William John Deachman, II.A graduate of Plymouth High School and Fischer Junior College in Boston, she was a long-time resident of Plymouth, where she worked as a secretary to the Grafton County Sheriff and the Superintendent of Schools. Later she worked for several years as a legal secretary. Mrs. Brox was also an accomplished seamstress and an avid golfer.In Plymouth, Mrs. Brox was active in the Pemi Junior and Senior Women's Clubs, Rainbow, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. She also served as secretary of the Plymouth Parks and Recreation Association, supervisor of the checklist, and as a member of the Speare Memorial Hospital Auxillary and the zoning board of adjustment. Recently, she was awarded her sixty-year pin for membership in the Order of the Eastern Star.In 1949, Mrs. Brox married her high school sweetheart, Theodore A. "Skip" Guinan, Jr., who passed away in 1968. In her later years, she married Stanley B. Brox, of Meredith, who died in 1999. She was also predeceased by her brother, Attorney William J. Deachman, III, in 1987.She is survived by her son, Michael K. Guinan, his wife Barbara, and grandchildren Abagail J., and Patrick T. Guinan; two daughters, Patricia A. and Sandra L. Guinan; her sister, Virginia Dearborn; her brother, Attorney Ross V. Deachman; a step-daughter, Carol Giguere; and several nieces and nephews.The family is most appreciative to the staff of the Peabody Home in Franklin for their care of Mrs. Brox during her short stay there, and to the nursing staff of the Franklin Regional Hospital.Memorials:In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice, or to the Smile Train, or Meals on Wheels.Service:Services will be private.
