Priscilla Ann Bartholomew

Priscilla Ann Bartholomew, 65, of Holderness, NH, died August 19, 2017 at her home after a long illness.

Born in Portland, Maine on March 7, 1952, she was the daughter of Carlton and Mary (Lutterell) Crowley.

Priscilla grew up in Portland and graduated from Portland High School, class of 1970. She also was a graduate of Southern Maine Technical Institute, with a degree in nursing. She has been a resident of Holderness since 1979.

Priscilla worked as a nurse at Maine Medical Center, in Portland, ME, Lakes Region General Hospital, in Laconia, NH. and for Dr. Paul Team, in Ashland, NH. She also served the town of Holderness as the Town Clerk for many years. For the past fifteen years, she has been the Office Manager for the Squam Lakes Association, in Holderness, NH.

Priscilla was a past board member of First Star Tonight, a non-profit organization serving the chronically and terminally ill children and young adults in the Pemi-Baker Valley.

Priscilla was predeceased by her husband of twenty-nine years, D. Arthur Bartholomew, who died in March of 2004.

Priscilla is survived by her children, Margaret R. Bartholomew of Boston, MA., and Zachary D. Bartholomew of Holderness, NH., brothers, Robert Crowley of Saville, NY., David Crowley of Cumberland, ME., and sisters, Donna Crowley of Cumberland, ME. Roxanne Syr of Big Sky MT., many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held in the Mayhew Funeral Home, Routes #3 and #104, Meredith, on Thursday, Aug. 24th, 6pm to 8pm. A private graveside service will be held in the Calvary Cemetery, in So. Portland at a later date.
