Pauline Marie Dodge, 86, of Pittsfield, NH. passed away peacefully on July 31, 2018 at her home with her family around her.

Born in Loudon, NH. on March 1, 1932, she was the daughter of Levi Kimball Sr. and Esther (Ekvoll) Ladd.

Pauline attended the one room school house in Loudon and graduated from Pittsfield High School, class of 1949. She went on to attend Keene State Teachers College, before finishing her studies in Nursing at Mary Hitchcock Hospital School of Nursing, formerly in Hanover. She was a resident of Pittsfield for many years and remained in Dr. Dodge's generational family farm, until her death.

Pauline worked as a nurse for several years and then married Dr. Wendell E. Dodge, of Pittsfield, in 1955. Dr. Dodge and Pauline raised a family together, until his death in 2003. They raised three children across the states of Massachusetts, Colorado, Washington and retiring to Pittsfield, in 1988.

Pauline was an avid outdoors person. She loved to spend time in her gardens, watch her wild birds, cross country and downhill ski, as well as walks on the family property down to the river. She also loved her cats, especially Dinah, who was her companion until her death.

Pauline was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Johnson and Betty Burbank and her brother, Levi K. Ladd Jr.

Pauline is survived by her children and their families, Karen Dodge of Pittsfield, Charles Dodge of Colorado and grandson, Donald of Montana, Carole Greene and her husband Daniel of Pittsfield and grandsons, Matthew Drew and Justin Greene, her sisters-in-law, Lucille Ladd and Dorothy Demmons and her husband Bud, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will have private services at their convenience.

The Mayhew Funeral Home and Crematorium, in Meredith and Plymouth, are assisting the family with their arrangements.
