BRIDGEWATER – Paul Donald Vanasse, 54, of Bridgewater, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at home.
Paul was born on September 24, 1970, to Paul G. Vanasse and Donna (Winters) Vanasse in Marlboro, MA, and moved to New Hampshire in 1994.
“Little Paul”, as he was affectionately called by his father, had Angelman Syndrome. He was the oldest brother and the heart of his family. He had a light that drew people in, not only within his family, but to the community as well. Paul loved deeply and made friends effortlessly. He was patient, kind, and compassionate – he was the epitome of “live, laugh, love”. Paul was always waving hi or giving hugs; his favorite people were anyone that waved back to him, or shook his hand, or gave him a hug. He was the best big brother. He looked forward to his time in his community with his support person, Bruce Kaler, and all the other staff at Lakes Region Community Services. He liked to go fishing, hiking, and just enjoying nature, as well as watching Dr. Who and all holiday movies.
Paul is survived by his mother and father; four brothers, Joe Vanasse (Beatriz), John Vanasse (Beth), Gregory Vanasse, and William Vanasse (Jill); three sisters, Dominique Vazquez-Vanasse (Pedro), Arcelia Vanasse, and Suzanne Vanasse; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 24, 2025 at St. Matthew’s Church, 11 School Street, Plymouth, NH.
