Patricia Anne Robichaud

Patricia Anne Robichaud, 80, of Campton, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth after a very lengthy stay. She resided with her daughter in Campton for the past three years due to medical reasons.
Born in Bathurst, New Brunswick, Canada, on July 23, 1932, she was the daughter of Louis and Palymre (Guerrette) St. Laurent. At the young age of 17, Patricia graduated from the Sacred Heart Academy, in Bathurst, Class of 1949. She then went on to attend the Nurse's Training School of the Hotel Dieu Hospital, in Campbelton, New Brunswick after waiting for a year as she was told that she was too young to know what she wanted career wise; she graduated in 1952.
In January, 1954 Patricia entered the United States and became a citizen on June 13, 1958, she lived in Athol and Methuen, MA during her transition to citizenship. Eventually Patricia moved to Lakeport, Laconia, NH with her husband Ray; together they were the long-time owners and operators of the Robichaud Funeral Homes. When Ray retired they moved back to Athol, MA.
Pat worked in all fields of Nursing during her career; she enjoyed Pediatric Nursing most of all and was known as "Pedi Pat", she was a registered Nurse in both Canada and the U.S. Pat worked at Lakes Region General Hospital, in Laconia, and Athol Memorial Hospital, in Athol, MA.
When she could travel she would love to visit her children and her family in Canada wherever they lived near or far. Pat loved children, all shades of purple, flower gardens and watching backyard birds, you always knew where to find her if the Patriots and Celtics were playing...parked in front of a TV. Most of all she loved her family, and extended family. Pat always put other people first.
She is predeceased by her parents and two brothers, John and Wilbrod St. Laurent, both of Canada.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Raymond M. Robichaud, Sr., of Athol, MA; children, Lisa Breton and husband Steven, of Campton, Raymond M. Robichaud, Jr., and wife Cindy, of Annapolis, MD, Francis "John" Robichaud, of Jupiter, FL, Wesley Dean Robichaud and wife JoAnn, of Sandown, NH; sisters, Jeannine Baron, of Surrey, B.C., Canada, and Elizabeth Scichilone, of Bathurst, N.B., Canada; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat's memory to a charity for pediatric medicine, or a charity of one's choice.
