Patricia Elaine Macomber

December 17, 1939 — January 28, 2023

We are sad to announce the loss of our mother, Patricia Elaine Macomber, who passed away peacefully on January 28th at her home in Thornton, NH. Where she lived with her adoring husband, Darrell Macomber, for 38 years.

At 83, she enjoyed a long, full life with her husband and the love of her three remaining children: Tate Conkey of Bridgewater, NH, Victoria Auger of Eliot, ME, and Jeff Conkey of Labelle, FL. Sadly, she had endured the loss of her two oldest children: Gerald Allen and Christopher Wade Conkey, respectively, who passed before her many years ago.

She is survived by her sisters: Kathy Stocklin of Dalton, TN, Barbara Anderson of Charlotte, NC, Sally Yalacki of Denver CO, and Connie Stone of Springdale, AK. Her older brother, Marvin Beemer of Chattanooga, TN passed away last August.

Patricia was a loving Mother who enjoyed music, laughter, and a good movie. She also had a deep appreciation for beauty and saw it in everything. Even after living in Thornton, NH for over 50 years she still paused to comment on how beautiful the mountains looked when out for a drive or how beautiful the snow looked outside the window each time it snowed.

When we were children, she often adopted animals in need of a home: cats, dogs, and even a spider monkey named Sambo. For many years, her kitchen was filled with lovebirds. She was sentimental and caring; always ready to be the one to cry with you if you were in a tough place.

She will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Trish's Life will at the Plymouth Congregational Church, 4 Post Office Square, Plymouth, NH at 1pm on Saturday, February 4th.
