IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia L.
Hann
April 26, 1951 – February 6, 2026
MEREDITH --- Patricia Lenore Hann, 74, of Meredith, passed away unexpectedly at Concord Hospital on Friday, February 6, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Patty was born on April 26, 1951, in Brighton, Massachusetts. She spent her childhood with her eight siblings in Bedford, Massachusetts on her family's farm, Shawsheen River Farm. She attended Bedford High School and graduated in 1969.
She married the love of her life, Alan Sumner Hann Sr., in the winter of 1969. The couple welcomed four children over the next seven years. After spending weekends at Camp Iroquois for several years, they decided to leave the busyness of the Bay State behind to call New Hampshire home. The family of six moved to Meredith in 1980.
Patty was fortunate to work part-time while her children were young. Her flexible schedule allowed her to cart them around to activities such as scouts, sports and dance. More importantly, she was able to be present for her kids. She dabbled in waitressing, substituted at the kids' school and worked for Annalee's Dolls. Patty found her niche in home parties for companies such as Cameo Lingerie, Lady Remington Jewelry, and Queensway Clothing. She was so successful that she was awarded many accolades and enjoyed several vacations with her husband to tropical destinations, as a perk for being a top earner. This was the beginning of her love for sales and fashion.
In the year 2000, she worked diligently to open a women's boutique on Main Street in Meredith. Patricia's "Specially For You" catered to all sizes, from extra small, all the way up to 4X. Besides offering casual and formal attire, her boutique carried unique accessories and also filled a need for swimsuits to locals and tourists who spent time on the lake. Patty was known for her ability to find the perfect outfit to fit any woman's body. She spent quality time with her customers, never rushing them. She listened to their wants and even their fears when it came to finding something they were comfortable with and felt beautiful in. She instinctively knew what looked good on women and wouldn't let them leave unless they were happy with their purchase. She retired in the year 2022 after being open for more than 20 years.
Patty was blessed with five grandsons and one granddaughter who were her pride and joy. Gami, as they so affectionately called her, was one of a kind. Full of big hugs, laughs, and of course, the queen of spoiling, much to her children's opposition. Sleepovers, board games, and ice cream sundaes on repeat. She was a tad bit mischievous and quite often we would hear the children exclaim, "Gami!" She left her grandkids so many unforgettable memories to cherish.
For the last four years, Patty selflessly cared for her husband, who is an amputee and wheelchair bound. They recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary. She will be terribly missed by her husband.
Patty will be remembered for her compassion and love for others, laughing until she cries, being unapologetically stubborn and of course, her dark, dark, dark white Russians.
Patty is survived by her husband and best friend of 56 years, Alan Sumner Hann Sr. of Meredith. She is also survived by her three children; daughter, Lisa Maguire and her husband, Patrick, of Hampton, Virginia; daughter, Wendy Mills and her husband, Jeff, of Meredith; son, Corey Hann and his wife, Lindsay, of Meredith; and her beloved grandchildren; Bergen and Garren Maguire, Sumner and Sadie Mills, and Lincoln and Parker Hann. Patty also leaves behind three sisters; Joan Ogg of Bow, NH; Jeannie Raffaelo of Chelmsford, MA; Donna Little of Chelmsford, MA.
Patty was predeceased by her loving son, Alan Sumner Hann Jr., on March 10, 2020. As well as her mother; Elizabeth Little; her father; Paul Little; her brothers; Bobby Little, David Little and Ritchie Little; her sister Paula Andrews.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mayhew Funeral Home, 204 Daniel Webster Highway, Meredith. There will be a Mass of Christian burial on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 300 NH-25, Meredith. A celebration of Patty's life will immediately follow the church service at The Homestead Restaurant in Bristol, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the NHVH Resident Benefit Fund.
