MOULTONBOROUGH----Nancy Jean (Critch) Bender, 75, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at her home in Moultonborough surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Nancy was born on August 22, 1949, in Chelsea, MA, to Clifford Norman Critch and Laura Phyllis (Rose) Critch. She graduated in 1967 from Revere High School in Revere, MA, and loved spending her childhood summers at Rock Pond in Georgetown, MA.
Nancy worked as a telephone operator for AT&T for many years. After retirement, she loved spending time with her family and enjoyed traveling in her motorhome and tending to her gardens.
In addition to her parents, Nancy is survived by her husband, John A. Bender; step-daughter, Vicki Lyn (Bender) Freitag and her husband, Wayne; two grandchildren, Ashley Lyn Freitag and Erik Freitag and his wife, Anna; two great-grandchildren, Brayden Freitag and coming soon, Skye Lyn Freitag; brother, Clifford Arnold Critch and his wife, Janis; twin sister, Norma Critch Hester; niece, Jennifer Spear and her husband, Robert; nephew, Matthew Critch and his wife Jaime; great-nephews, Brian Maccini, Kyle Critch, and Colin Critch; and great-nieces, Dakota Spear, Anastasia Spear, and Cassidy Spear. Nancy was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Arnold Critch and Annie “Ma” Snow (Jaynes) Critch; and her maternal grandparents, Walter and Emma Rose.
A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held at a later date.
