Muriel B. Kenneson

December 22, 1919 — June 24, 2014

Muriel B. Kenneson, 94, of Rumney, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the Wolfeboro Bay Center, in Wolfeboro after a brief illness.

Born on December 22, 1919, in Hebron, NH, she was the daughter of Fred and Nellie (Merrill) Barnard.

Muriel and her husband Donald raised their two children and ran the Kenneson Poultry Farm - a family endeavor. Muriel was the Byron G. Merrill Library (Rumney) Librarian for almost 40 years and enjoyed the many patrons of all ages that frequented the library. She was part of a number of organizations including the Grange, where this year marked her 70th year of membership; a singing group called the "Stardusters", that sang music from the 40's and 50's; a part of the Rumney Baptist Church's Earnest Workers group, as well as a Sunday school teacher and choir member for many years. She also enjoyed her friendship with the "Christmas Club Girls" for more than 60 years. Muriel was also a long-time member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Muriel was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald G. Kenneson, in December, 2003.

She is lovingly survived by her two children, son, Guy Kenneson and his wife Carol, of Plymouth, and her daughter, Gail Carr and husband William, of Rumney; four grandchildren, Sheryl Pratt and husband David, of Goffstown, Jeff Kenneson, of Burlington, VT, Melanie (Carr) Smith and husband Jeff, of Berlin, and Bethany Carr, of Rumney; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Kenneson Pratt, of Goffstown, Emily and Allison Smith, of Berlin.
