Marylin Louise Kimball, aged 93, passed away on October 29, 2024, in Meredith, NH. Born on November 16, 1930, in Bristol, NH, the daughter Earl S. Quint and Leona (Gilpatric) Tucker.
She was a devoted mother and respected member of her community.
Marylin dedicated her life to her family and her career. She worked extensively at the Laconia State School and the Belknap County Nursing Home, later providing health care for senior citizens and people with disabilities within the community until her retirement from Meredith Public Health and Senior Companion in her late 80s. Her commitment reflected her nurturing nature, which is evident in her personal life. A beloved figure in her town, Marylin was known for her warm hospitality, particularly at her cherished camp on Forrest Pond. Here, she hosted memorable gatherings that often-featured spirited games of horseshoes. Her hobbies included fishing in local ponds and lakes and unwinding with a good book.
During open seasons, she was a regular attendee at St. John of the Mount in Ellsworth, where she found great solace and community.
Besides her parents, Marylin was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wm Kimball Sr., sons Clyde Wm (GI Joe) Kimball and Michael A Kimball, grandson Richard (MacQueston) Enright, granddaughter Kristine MacQueston, her stepfather Raymond Tucker, and stepmother Marguerite Quint Plummer, siblings Richard Quint, Mary Covill, Natalie Potter, Shirley Hill, and Robert Tucker. She is survived by a loving family including her children Elizebeth A (Dennis) Manning, Richard Wm Kimball Jr., Lafeyette E Kimball, John W (Cathy) Kimball, and David G (Cindy) Kimball; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a community that will deeply miss her presence.
A memorial service will be held at the Mayhew Funeral Home in Meredith, NH, November 15th from 12-2:00pm, a graveside service at 2:30 to follow at Oakland Cemetery and a celebration of life immediately following at Harts Turkey Farm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the NH Humane Society in Laconia, NH, honoring her love for animals. Marylin Kimball’s legacy of care, community, and family will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
