Mary Adelle Munroe, 89, of Hazelnut Road, Gilford, died October 11, 2015, at Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, after a brief illness.
Born in Plymouth, NH. on August 8, 1926, she was the daughter of Herman F. and Beatrice Mae (Bagley) Durand.
Mary grew up in Plymouth and attended Plymouth Schools. She resided in Laconia, before moving to Gilford over sixty years ago.
Mary worked, for many years, as a dental hygienist for Dr. Leo Sanfacon, in Laconia and then for Dr. Potter, in Meredith.
Mary loved arts and crafts and was awarded many ribbons for her work in ceramics.
Mary was predeceased by her first husband, Philip Gene DuPont, who died while in active duty during World War II, her second husband of many years, Timothy W. Munroe, who died in Aug of 1988, her son, Gene Philip DuPont, who died in January of 2012, and a sister, Aurel Chamberlain.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Maryann (DuPont) Leroux and her husband Armand of Center Harbor, three grandchildren, Scott Leroux and his wife Joan, Jeff Leroux and his wife Bridgette, and Travis DuPont and his wife Linsey, six great grandchildren, Nicole Holgate, Scott P. Leroux, Stormy Leroux, Copelin Leroux, Bailey Gene DuPont, Peyton Marie DuPont one great great grandson, Demetri Holgate, her sister, Aletea Durand of Franklin, nieces and nephews.
