Mary Isabel Moniz, 86, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2019, at her home in Campton, NH.

Mary was born on July 4, 1932 in Cambridge, MA to Joseph and Hortense (Mello) Moniz. She graduated from Cambridge High and Latin in 1950. She worked at Honeywell for over 35 years and spent most of her career as an editor of Honeywell's technical publications. She retired as a Supervisor and Senior Editor.

Mary enjoyed oil painting, writing poetry and spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly. She was proud of her Portuguese heritage and was fluent in Portuguese and English. She was a thoughtful and caring person, with a genuinely kind soul. She was a loving madrinha, aunt, and friend.

Besides her parents, Mary is predeceased by her beloved sister, Lillian Sweeney, and her brothers Herbert and Norman Moniz.

Mary's nephew Doug and his wife, Margaret, would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Mary's caregivers from Comfort Keepers, Plymouth, NH, who cared for Mary with the utmost love and kindness. They would also like to thank the staff of Pemi-Baker Community Health Hospice for their outstanding compassion and support.

Calling hours will take place on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon Street, Plymouth, NH from 9:00 - 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM at St. Joseph Church, 25 Church Street, Lincoln, NH. Celebrant will be Father David Kneeland, Pastor. Rite of Committal and burial will be private.
