Marlene Dorothy Santoro, 70, of LeBrun Road, Dorchester, died June 4, 2016 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital, in Lebanon.

Born in Westborough, Massachusetts, one of ten children, on August 15, 1945. She was the daughter of E. Russell and Gertrude (McCully) Pollinger,

Marlene grew up in the Westborough and attended Westborough High School.
In her youth she moved to New Haven, CT. She met and married Anthony Santoro on April 23, 1969. She moved to Lincoln, NH in 1978 and in 1981 she settled in Dorchester, NH.

Marlene worked, faithfully, for twenty-seven years, as a utility worker at the physical plant for Plymouth State University, until her retirement in 2013.

Marlene was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish, St. Matthews Church, in Plymouth.

Marlene was predeceased by her husband of twenty-three years, Anthony Santoro, who died in 1992 and her brother, Russell Pollinger, who died in 2012.

Marlene is survived by her two children, Anthony Santoro and his fiancé Patricia L. Milligan of Dorchester, daughter, Helen M Santoro and her husband Michael Callaghan of Chelmsford, MA, her granddaughter, Lillian E. Callaghan, her sisters, Janet Kahookele of TX, Pat Malmquist of ID, Phyllis Renaurd of MA, Joyce Montague of MA, Charlotte Sander of CT and Judy Smith MA; her brothers Peter Pollinger of ME, and Daniel Pollinger of FL, and numerous nieces and nephews.
