Obituary

Marion A. Green, 84, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2026, in Concord, New Hampshire, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

Born on January 27, 1942, Marion was the beloved daughter of the late John J. Carey and A. Madeline Carey. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Francis Carey and John Carey.

Marion was a woman of deep and unwavering faith, whose love for God guided her throughout her life. As a devoted and active member of the Moultonborough United Methodist Church, she found great joy in her church community and in living a life rooted in kindness, compassion, and service to others. Her faith was not simply something she practiced, but something she lived each day through her generosity of spirit and the love she shared with those around her.

One of the many beautiful expressions of Marion's caring nature was her dedication to fostering children while living in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. As a loving foster parent, she opened both her home and her heart to children in need, offering them warmth, stability, encouragement, and unconditional love. Her willingness to care for others reflected the very essence of who she was: a woman with a generous heart and a deep desire to make a difference in the lives of those around her.

Above all, Marion cherished her family. She was married to Colman Green and was the loving mother of three children, Kevin, Kristina, and Robbie. She was also a proud and devoted grandmother to her four grandchildren, Colman, Emma, Monty, and Noah. Her family was a source of tremendous love and joy, and the bonds she shared with her children and grandchildren were among the greatest blessings of her life. Through her warmth, wisdom, and gentle encouragement, Marion created a legacy of love that will continue through the generations.

Marion's life was a testament to the power of faith, family, and love. She will be remembered for her compassionate spirit, her devotion to those she held dear, and the countless ways she touched the lives of others. The kindness she extended, the faith she demonstrated, and the love she so freely gave will remain a lasting part of her legacy.

Though she will be deeply missed, Marion's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, church community, and all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Her life was a blessing, her love was a gift, and her memory will be treasured forever.

A funeral service will be held for Marion on Wednesday November 4th, at 10:00 am at the Moultonborough United Methodist Church, 1018 Whittier Highway, Moultonborough, NH 03254.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday November 5th, at 11:00 am at the Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.

The Mayhew Funeral Home 204 D.W. Highway is assisting the family with arrangements.
