Marguerite (Peg) Vittum (Prescott), formerly of Meredith, died peacefully in Mountain View Nursing Home on December 12, 2017 at the age of 91.
Marguerite was born on July 3, 1926 in Meredith, New Hampshire to Roy E. and Louva M. (Berry) Prescott. She was the graduate of Meredith High School and NH College of Accounting and Finance in Manchester. She married Edwin Vittum in April 1945. She was a lifelong resident of Meredith and a parishioner of the Congregational Church of Meredith.
Marguerite is survived by two sons Alan (Donna) of Wolfeboro, Scott (Jean) of Moultonboro, four grandchildren Alexander (Zeina) of Oakland, CA., Neil (Amy) of Laytonville, CA., Quinn (Kara) of Honolulu, HI., and Heidi (Joseph) Laramie and two great-grandchildren, Emmett Rouse Vittum and Juniper Rouse Vittum.
A calling hour will be held at the Mayhew Funeral Home, 204 Daniel Webster Highway, Meredith, on Saturday, Dec. 16th, from 10am to 11am. A funeral service will follow at 11am. Ryan Alexander will officiate the ceremony. Burial will be held in the Meredith Village Cemetery, Meredith. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marguerite's life.
Memorial donations can be made in Peg's memory to the Mountain View Community, 93 Water Village Road, Ossipee, NH 03864.
