Margaret Ann Parker

Margaret Ann Parker, 88, formerly of NH Route #113, Holderness, died July 4, 2016, at Forestview Manor, in Meredith, after a period of declining health.
Born in Hamilton, Massachusetts on October 1, 1927, she was the daughter of Peter and Dorothy (Morse) Thimmer.

Margaret resided in Beverly MA for thirty years and then in Peterborough for about thirteen years. She has been a summer resident of the Squam Lake area since the 1960's and a permanent resident of
Holderness since the mid 1970's.

Margaret worked for thirty years in the assemble department of Sylvania Corporation, in Danvers, MA. And also for the National Cash Register Corporation, in Peterborough, NH. During her retirement, she served the town of Holderness as Tax Collector for several years.

Margaret was a member of the Ellacoya Chapter #43 Order of Eastern Star, in Meredith and was the chapter's recipient of the Quimby Spooner Award.

Margaret is predeceased by her husband of sixty-five years, Howard Glenwood Parker Sr, who died in May of 2011.

Margaret is survived by her son, Howard G. Parker Jr, of Ashland, her daughter, Dorothy A. Thompson and husband Skip of Holderness, affectionately known to her grandchildren as "Bami", grandchildren, Sharon Hamann and husband Brian of Gorham, ME, Stacy Davis and husband Blaine of Contoocook, great grandchildren, Haley and Isabel Hamann, Russell and Rachel Davis, her sisters, Doris Conlon, of Amarillo, TX, Jean Burr of Venice, FL, her brother, Peter Thimmer Jr. of Peabody, MA, nieces and nephews.
