Margaret K. (Peggy) Currie, 86, of Plymouth, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at the Grafton County Nursing Home, in North Haverhill.Peggy was born in Portland, ME, to Bertha M. (McCarthy) and George T. Boyd, on June 7th, 1924. A graduate of Cathedral High School and Portland Business College, she worked at Burnham and Morrill Company until moving to Plymouth, NH, with her husband Jim and infant daughter in 1953.Peggy loved life. She was an avid seamstress; enjoyed her family, friends, golf, and travel. Very active in the community, Peggy was involved in the Pemigewasset Woman's Club, Saint Matthew's Woman's Club, and the Plymouth Twilight Golf League. She volunteered with the Plymouth Community Closet and with SCEVA Speare Hospital. Peggy's business career took her from local law offices to the Plymouth Town Court and Plymouth Town Hall.Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Jim.She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Currie, of Orlando, FL, and Janette Sheehy, of Rochester; sons, James Currie, of Rochester, and John B. Currie, of Hooksett; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.Memorials:In lieu of flowers, the family would be appreciative of donations made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1 Bedford Drive, Suite 105, Bedford, NH, 03110.Service:A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
