Marcia Porter Dowd

Marcia Porter Dowd, age 76 of 34 Lighthouse Lane, died June 18, 2010.  She was born on October 13, 1933 in Dearborn, Michigan, the daughter of the late Howard L. and Magdalena B. Porter.She was a resident of Moultonborough for the last 14 years and previously lived in Concord and Derry. She was a graduate of Cornell University and a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.During her life she was active in various clubs and loved her sewing, knitting and gardening.  Her family was always her first priority and cherished the times and vacations they did together.  She was a softball, soccer and ice hockey Mom and Grandma.Family members include her beloved husband of 54 years, John Kevin Dowd: two sons, Brenton of Mechanic Falls, ME and Clinton of Goffstown, NH; four grandchildren, Ryan, Kayleigh, Alexis and Mikaela; five nieces and 2 nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother, Jim in 2007.  She is survived by her brother, Howard R.
