She is fondly remembered for her constant supply of cookies and pies for the hordes of hungry swimmers. She moved to Center Harbor, New Hampshire with her husband Bill in 1986.  "Retirement" meant travels, family gatherings and lots of craft projects and gardening.  Madeline sang in the choir at the Center Harbor Congregational Church and worked in the sewing and craft clubs, as well as the annual strawberry shortcake festival.  She loved to make the flower arrangements for the various church services and functions. Madeline was predeceased by her husband William Haigh, her parents, her brother Lester (Bud) Hardy, her nephew Wayne Bratt and her grandson Wesley Allen Haigh. She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Bratt; her sons, Warren Haigh, and Gary Haigh and wife Carol; daughters, Marcia Haigh and husband Dan Prichard, Laurel Babcock and husband Tim, and Leslie Crane and husband David; twelve adored grandchildren, Jessica Rogers and husband Joshua, Benjamin Haigh and wife Kelly, Lindsay Remfrey and husband Patrick, Meredith Viprino and husband Barry, Emma Prichard, Suzanne Stone, Treacey Sudak, Cassandra, Bryan, and Brett Babcock, Sarah Kendra and Krystin Bowcutt.  She took great pride in knowing her great-grandchildren Austin, Brelan, Devlin, Joshua Rogers, Dahlia, Gregory and Imogen Viprino, and Amelia Madeline and Liam Haigh. The family extends heart felt appreciation to Leslie and David Crane for the loving care and support they gave our parents these past six years.Service:A Memorial Service will be held on December 19, 2009 at 10:00 am at thet Center Harbor Congregational Church, Rte. 25, Center Harbor, NH.
